MIAMI MUSIC REVIEW:
It's about time we tell all of you whats cool about Miami (besides ourselves). For instance fresh new music coming straight out of our little big town;
TEEPEE

Miami's hot one man punk band "TEEPEE" is breaking up the monotony of our constant flow of "hard rock" with fresh "synth punk" that has caught the attention of major indie labels such as Jerk Wave Tapes, Florida's Dying, and Sweet Rot. Formally in a Miami favorite "The Mutiny" Eric Lopez Zareno has created a small but important fan base with his deeply riveting lyrics and fast but punchy melodies. With a killer stage presence this local Miamian is trapping all who lend him their ears. Make sure to check him out...you won't regret it!

Palm Trees

One of Miami's more interesting acts a duo dubbed "Palm Trees" is sure to knock your socks off! Composed of classically trained opera singer Andrea Metro-Esperanza and song writer/bassist Albert Ovadia. Their eerie electric music is irresistibly catchy and causes uncontrollable bouts of dancing. It is no wonder their performance during Art Basel got so much attention. Check out their hit single "Water Signs" to dj at your next party!

Little Beard

Every one's favorite emerging local band (the band Sarah is in) "Little Beard" is a little bit of everything, shoegaze, folk, punk, horror and a tiny slice of heaven rock (totally kidding). Sarah's chilling vocals complement the surf style guitar riffs, funky bass, and mesmerizing drum beat. With an eclectic array of artists, an endearing band name, and a hot chick playing keyboard, how could you not take a listen??

BIRFDAY!!

Ok so yes i need more pictures but i think these can suffice. My birthday party was a totall success! Great local bands from miami played, i.e. my band Little Beard, Little Daggers, Delpaxton, and my very favorite TEEPEE(which you can find on florida's dying and jerkwave tapes.)All bands can be found on myspace but of course! DJ Faux Real spun a great set (90's miami dance music, what else is there?). Alright enough chit chat how about those photos?

first installment

Ok future readers this is my first post and opening statement. The object of my blog you ask? To inform everyone how much potential and awesomness miami has to offer. What will I feature on my blog? Local designers, musicians, and artists of all kinds. Local go getters and even an event calendar, for my favorite miamians or lovely visitors. Tommorow is my birthday bash and will officially be my first post with pics and inside view to a hotspot in miami (did i just say hotspot?) that combines many of the things i just described. Excited? ya me too...
